Eligibility Criteria

• 10th Pass/ Matriculation certificate from a recognized Board of Education.

• Driving License: You need a valid driving license for a Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) issued by the competent authority.

• Mechanical Knowledge: You must have knowledge of motor mechanics and be able to fix minor defects in a vehicle.

• Driving Experience: You must have at least one year of experience driving a motor car after obtaining your valid driving license.

• Residency: You must have a domicile certificate for the state you're applying in.

IB Security Assistant (Motor Transport) 2025: Pay Scale & Mode of Selection

• Pay Scale: The pay scale is Level-3 (Rs. 21,700-69,100) in the pay matrix, plus other government allowances. This includes a special security allowance of 20% of the basic pay.
• Selection Process: Selection on the Basis of Tier-I, Tier-II & Merit List.

• Photo: Upload a recent (within 12 weeks) color photo (35mm x 45mm) with a light background, face covering 70–80%, in JPG/JPEG format (100–200KB).
• Signature: Upload your own signature in black ink on white paper in JPG/JPEG format (80–150KB), showing only the signature area.

📘 Scheme of Examination

📝 Tier-I: Online Exam (Objective Type MCQs)

• Total Questions: 100 (1 mark each)

• Total Marks: 100

• Duration: ⏰ 1 hour

• Sections (20 marks each):

  1. 🌍 General Awareness – 20

  2. 🚦 Basic Transport/Driving Rules – 20

  3. ➗ Quantitative Aptitude – 20

  4. 🔢 Numerical / Analytical / Logical Ability & Reasoning – 20

  5. 📖 English Language – 20

⚠️ Negative Marking: ¼ mark for each wrong answer

🚘 Tier-II: Motor Mechanism & Driving Test cum Interview

• Total Marks: 50

• Evaluation includes:

  • 🚗 Driving a motor vehicle as instructed by the examiner.

  • 🔧 Practical knowledge of vehicle mechanism.

  • 🛠️ Removal of minor defects/snags.

  • 🧰 Upkeep & maintenance of the vehicle.

✅ Minimum Qualifying Marks: 40%

📌 Important Notes

• 🔹 Cut-off (Tier-I out of 100):

  • UR – 30

  • OBC – 28

  • SC/ST – 25

  • EWS – 30

  • (Ex-servicemen treated in their category)

• 🔹 Candidates shortlisted for Tier-II = 10 times the number of vacancies (based on Tier-I performance & normalization).

• 🔹 Final Merit List = Tier-I (100) + Tier-II (50) = 150 Marks (Hindi qualifying paper not counted).
