Short Information : Indian Railway: Ministry of Railways is organising a short-term training programme at nominated Training Centres at all India level for youth under Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojana.This program is entry level skill development training program in various trades i.e. AC Mechanic, Carpenter, CNSS (Communication Network & Surveillance System), Computer Basics, Concreting, Electrical, Electronics & Instrumentation, Fitters, Instrument Mechanic (Electrical & Electronics), Machinist, Refrigeration & AC, Technician Mechatronics, Track laying, Welding, Bar Bending and Basics of IT, S&T in Indian Railway. Medical fitness

Candidates should be medically fit to undergo training. Candidate will be required to submit fitness
certificate form a registered MBBS doctor, certifying that candidate is fit to undergo training in industrial
environment and is fit with respect to visible/ hearing / mental condition and it is not suffering from any
communicable disease

Instructions for Online submission of application form

  • All candidates shall fill up the required information in the form and upload scanned copy of photograph & signature. Application Window shall be opened for 12.05.2022 (00:00 hrs.) to 26.05.2022 (23:59 hrs.) (14 days).
  • At 27.05.2022 (00:00 hrs.), automatic list of shortlisted & waitlisted candidates for each trade shall be generated based on merit. Information to candidate shall be sent by email & SMS.
  • For next 6 days, shortlisted candidates can upload scanned copies of Matric (10th) mark sheet (or certificate), photo ID, notarized affidavit, medical certificate.
  • (Note: Document upload is not necessary. This is required to be produced in ORIGINAL in institute at the time of reporting) for next 2 days (12.05.2022 00:00 hrs. to 28.05.2022 23:59 hrs.), Institute will verify documents with applicant's data and finalize list trade wise. Selected candidates will be intimated about the training dates by email

Selection method

The percentage marks in 10th class will be basis of merit for selection. As per formula given by CBSE,
multiply CGPA with 9.5 to convert CGPA into percentage

  • Stipend: Railway administration will not be liable to pay any stipend to the trainees.

  • 1. Candidates can apply, when notification for Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojna is issued in newspapers and on website. Registered candidates will also be advised through email.
  • 2. Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojna is one of the skill enhancement training program under Ministry of Indian Railways and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
  • 3. Please read the instructions, procedures and Information notices carefully before you start filling the Online Application Form.
  • 4. The application should be submitted in prescribed format with necessary documents.
  • 5. Railways administration will not be liable to pay stipend to the trainees.
  • 6. There will be no reservation given to the candidates under this Scheme. The training will be conducted irrespective of religion, caste, creed or race.
  • 7. One candidate will be allowed to avail training in only one trade and only one time. No repetitive courses will be allowed to any candidate so that other candidates may also get chance.
  • 8. Since it is a short duration course, 75% attendance is a must for continuation in the training and issue of a certificate.
  • 9. There will be a test after completion of training and certificates will be issued only to successful candidates.
  • 10. The training will be provided only during the day time.
  • 11. Trainees should follow the rules of the organization with full safety of jobs, tools, gauges, machines, equipment, human, etc. He/she should not indulge in any activity which jeopardizes his/her safety or that of fellow workers. No FIR have been lodged against the candidates.
  • 12. Trainees will not damage the Railway property during this training programme.
  • 13. No allowance like daily allowance/conveyance allowance or travelling allowance etc. will be paid to the trainee.

  • 15. Candidates imparted training under" Rail Kaushal Vikas Yojna" will have no claim to seek employment on Railways on the basis of such training.
